Adam Wacks Drummer
Had a great time playing in the house band for the after party of 2024 The Giants of Jazz annual celebration at SOPAC in South Orange, NJ - this year honoring Lewis Nash.
Upcoming Events:
Did you know: One of the best ways to see and hear great jazz is to attend concerts at the music conservatories. Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music (MSM) both feature student programs and almost all of them are free. These students are already professional musicians and the intimate concert halls they perform in provide a great listening experience. I will be appearing in two ensembles at MSM on Tuesday evening, December 3rd, starting at 5 PM. Both performances feature music written by students and my original compositions will be performed in both. For more information, see https://www.msmnyc.edu/performances/msm-jazz-combofest-festival-december/
On December 17th I get to play with some of my favorite musicians, Shogo Ellefson, Ben Rubie, and Satchel Peterson at Fiction Bar in Brooklyn. For mor information, see https://fictionbk.com/jazz-calendar.
Currently in the rotation for the house band in the Manderley Bar of the McKittrick Hotel. If you're there for Sleep No More, stop in and say you saw this posted on adamwacksdrums.com.
Stay tuned for postings of more events in and around NYC.
